A fun and educative tour for the younger ones about fishing and animal life in Iceland
If you are in the vicinities of the southern coast, around the towns Laugarvatn, Fludir, Selfoss, Hella or Hvolsvollur, INDEPENDENT PEOPLE ICELAND can bring your family to a fishing initiation in a reservoir pond where numerous brown trouts are found and the chances to catch fish are high. Not only we will teach your beloved ones how to fish freshwater trouts but this tour will also put a educational emphasis on freshwater and general animal life Iceland.
The drive from Reykjavik to the pond is quite long (apprx. 2 hours), if the area is your destination we can definitively taxi you to a drop-off but if you don't feel like it, INDEPENDENT PEOPLE and our partner Happy Tours organises sea angling tours from Reykjavik in an authentic Icelandic fishing boat where we will fish Cods, Pollocks and Haddocks. There will be the same educative input as for the pond fishing tour: we will also have the chance to observe birdlife and maybe whales!
